Hello
I recently relocated to the Sarasota, Florida area and need your help finding out what shows you think are great for this area.
I come from Iowa where I had a big following and did an average of 20 juried shows a year.
I design upscale fused and recycled glass jewelry.
Since I moved to Florida I have done several shows with 3 different organizers and have not been happy with some of the shows in particular one of the organizers ... they advertised their event as "juried art and fine craft" and ended up being a huge flea market with no advertising at all... what a horrible experience.

These organizers and shows are new to me, are there any you suggest I take a look at or avoid?
I am looking no more than a 100 mile radius from the Sarasota area.

Any information would be appreciated
Thank you very much!

You may want to look at the Howard Alan shows...good quality and good locations, and also American Craft Endeavors (also Howard Alan). We've done a few TNT shows in the past with excellent sales, but a few...not so much. Same for M.Y. promotions. Buy/sell seems to be all over these days. Cape Coral and Fort Myers have excellent shows but they may be closed by now as they are early in the year.

Florida is a big state and limiting yourself to 100 miles will leave out some of the best locations (Las Olas, Miami, and the east coast in general.

I think you may find that the SW Florida area is saturated with shows every weekend from mid October thru April, with the winter shows being generally better than the fall shows. There is a show in Lake Placid in the summer (Caladium Festival) which can be good for a Florida summer show.

Welcome to FLA...good luck!!!

hi Bob
Thanks for the reply.
I applied to the Cape Coral Festival of the Arts earlier this year and got in, I was told it's a great show.
I will check into the other promoters and shows.

Thanks so much for the info.

Silvia :)
