Just curious....do most of you use a tax professional to file your taxes or file it yourself? For years, we have used a CPA but he's expensive. If you file yourself, is there a really good program you use and can recommend?

We use a CPA, but we'll probably start doing it ourselves next year. Uou're right about the expense and anytime you can save even a few dollars today adds to the bottom line, even though tax preparation is a deductable expense.

About 40 years ago, when my husband was a home builder, I took a tax course from H&R Block. It was well worth the time and money. Since then, I am able to keep up with what I need to know about changes and do my taxes myself. I've never had a problem.
