Hello,
I know there was a thread about credit card processing but the messages were a bit old so I thought I'd open up the topic again as we are getting back into the show circuit.
We would like to process credit cards at shows. I have a netbook computer with USCellular broadband internet connection. I've been looking at USB card readers. I already have an account with PayPal for sending invoices and noted that they also process credit cards. Has anyone had experience good or bad with them? Our sales are probably going to be small to begin with so we'll have a monthly fee I'm sure.
Any suggestions for other processing companies are welcome.
Joe

Probably called ProPay and cost $30 a month. Then when you take credit cards the money goes directly into your PayPal account.

Look into using The Square:
https://squareup.com/

It's a credit card processor with a swiper that connects to the headphone jack of your cell phone or iPad. It's been discussed on all the art show forums for the past few years.

Thanks for the info about square up. I looked at their web site. I don't have a smart phone so it doesn't appear that will work for me. I'm looking for something that will work on my netbook with my broadband internet connection.

I think you can use it through their web site until you get a smart phone or iPad.
